Who's a clever girl then?

We finally got the results of the ‘educational tests’ the eldest daughter took in school in September. These are the ‘guides’ the school uses to sort the students into ‘streams’ and classes. The four areas they tested were ‘Maths’, ‘Reading’, Spelling’, and ‘Written Expression’. In ‘Maths’ andΒ  ‘Written Expression’ she rated above ‘Average’. Of course we have no *time* free over the weekend to do anything… so lord knows … More Not long to go!

Formally miffed.

The daughter has her ‘Year 6 Formal’ coming up. To me this seems like a blatant money grab by the school. There isn’t a ‘dance’ for them… just an evening out with their parents – seriously! What’s worse is that the cost is $85 per parent and $45 for the child. So just to go … More Formally miffed.
