I'm just this guy... y'know? :)
I started revamping the Rugby Songs site… no I didn’t pass on the url… the existing site is truly awful. As part of the revamp I obviously needed a decent theme… so I found one and started reconfiguring links etc to get the basics up there, and create a template to work from as I … More Why are things so hard sometimes?
The UK Site ‘Raising Kids‘ has loads of competitions to enter for very little effort – in fact they give you the answers 🙂 The only problem is you need to have kids in order to enter. Of course… you *could* put down the names of cousins, nephews and neices, even grandchildren if you wanted … More Got kids? Enter competitions!
The wife went back to work this morning after having a couple of days off because of a cold. She’s gone off on the train, as she does when it’s raining, so her cold is quite likely to make a comeback later this week. She’s in for an interesting day either way as the eldest … More Quiet today – damn dam!
I’ve just started looking at CSS properly and have just realised I need to know *far* more than I do now. For starters it’s only just dawned on me that I need to create an external style sheet if I want to maintain consistency across multiple pages. Might seem an odd thing to ‘just discover’ … More I've no 'style' at all.
Only 13 more sleeps til the last Harry Potter book hits the shelves. Will I have the courage to go to buy my book wearing a velvet cape, pointy hat and Voldemort mask?? Watch this space for further details… and pictures if I raise enough courage. 🙂

Google has just bought Grand Central Communications. You might not think this is much of a news story… but it *might* just grow into *the* most important purchase they’ve made. The plan for Grand Central is to provide a “one stop shop” for any and all phones to allow you to add any number to … More One phone to rule them all.
I doubt anyone’s noticed but I’ve not been around much. My ADSL connection died and I was limited to my laptop… which has a separate wireless ADSL link… and as the wife has had two days off she monopolised it to access work. Charming. Anyway, as I wrote before, it turned out to be a … More Back at last!
As an addendum to yesterdays post regarding the tyres, I got home and discovered the ADSL connection had died. Spent over two hours on the phone to the tech to made all sorts of adjustments… and then gave up at 10:30 p.m . He’s referred it up the line to the next level tech who … More By the way
Oh yes… the jinx strikes again! For the last few days the back nearside tyre has had a slow puncture. Being a little slow myself lately it’s taken me a while to organise myself to get it fixed. Eventually off I went to the local Bridgestone Tyre company after first making sure they dealt with … More What? Not *more* on the jinx?
