I'm just this guy... y'know? :)
Currently it seems I *could* publish text… but not upload pictures to their proper folders. Something was changed in the structure when it was reinstated – but it’s fixed now. Good support at AussieHQ!!. If you’re interested… which you probably aren’t but I’ll tell you anyway… I asked that the space I was renting to … More Hmmm….
Shirley Bassey, Burly Shirly, Our Shirl… what a singer… what a performer! What brought this to mind? Sitting in the car this morning listening to “Hey Big Spender”. She is/was such a great act. That voice, that ‘presence’. A true diva.
Sorry to do this again but my host made a bit of an error last night and accidentally deleted the site. If you have any of the posts from the 14th onwards… e.g. as an RSS feed… I’d appreciate you forwarding them to me so I can reinstate them. In the meantime I’m taking steps … More Call for old posts?
Was thinking on the way home tonight about the word ‘Research’ when applied to attempts to solve medical and other social problems. Isn’t it a bit of a misnomer? Surely *re* search means to review or re-read previous searches. Shouldn’t ‘research’ just be called ’search’?? Just wondering.

What this mini-wildlife-warrior thinks of this hasn’t been reported but seeing her with her trademark grin at the NY Press Club the other day you have to say ’she’s back’. Not that she’s really been away as … More Bindi back on track.

One thing I noticed was the liberal use of the ‘more’ option so that people see just the first paragraph of a post to let them make up their mind about the message and whether they’d like to see … More The ‘More…’ option
Driving the kids to school yesterday I noticed in passing a flying fox hanging on wires at the side of the road. Wasn’t sure then if it was alive or dead. Since it’s there this morning I have to assume it’s dead. It’s the ‘circle of life’ stuff again I suppose… but it’s still quite … More Flying fox flying no more.
Studies indicate that there is a real link between reduced testosterone levels, sleep apnoea and obesity! There’s a study about to start in Sydney to test the theory out. I’m considering calling in to volunteer. There are a few issues to consider. Firstly and most importantly whether there is an increased risk of prostate cancer … More Sleep Apnoea needs hormones?
Rewards for the safe return of 4 year old Madeleine McCann kidnapped in Portugal have now reached an amazing $9 million. Nevertheless there is still no news of her whereabouts. That alone is cause for concern. Surely by now with the vast international publicity we’ve seen, if she was safe and well *someone* would have … More Madeleine McCann still missing.
