I'm just this guy... y'know? :)
Taxi drivers around the world are rarely noted for their tolerance and happy dispositions and having been one I can understand why. However, sometimes you *do* have to feel for the people who sometimes get the rough end of the pineapple from drivers. The latest complaint was from a woman released from hospital who told … More Sydney Taxi's
Mothers Day in Australia today… woohoo!! Not going to explain how… but we (and she) now have a digital piano. She spent a chunk of the day tinkling to ersatz ivories and entertaining us all before we went for a walk… decided to have a cup of tea at the local heritage building… found it … More Hi-ho Mothers Day.
I first organised a domain for myself back in 199?? The site was just 5 Mb shared space with mailserver.com and came with a useful little address. Soon enough we outgrew it and so I bought others. One of the first was http://www.talktidy.com which for years served as the abode of all my mail addresses. … More Changing the host with the most…. cost.
Well it’s the next big thing so I thought I’d join up… I’m registered as Bynge Oh…. well why not?? 🙂 I decided (luckily as it turned out) not to cough up any cash… and then discovered… oh joy… it doesn’t support Windows Vista yet. The wife’s graduation ceremony is due on the 1st June. True to form… the old man has arranged to fly out of Sydney back home… the same day!!! The graduation ceremony is 10:30… he flies at 11:30. I’m convinced he told me (several times) that he was flying on the 2nd so never bothered checking… … More Bouncing from chaos to catastrophe 🙂
After the marathon session with the PDA software I finally got some help. I’d wrote on Monday (in desperation) to iMate who gave me an Australian address to contact and I sent them a mail yesterday. Within a few hours they’d responded and this morning I had a call from a tech. The machine is … More All's finally well with the PDA
Madge is visiting the US and as usual the Shrub found it impossible to avoid putting his foot in his mouth. In his welcome, he almost told the crowd Madge had been in the US when it was founded in 1776 instead of dropping in for a free meal in 1976 for the bicentennial celebrations. … More The Shrub makes a funny.
As regulars will know, last year sometime I bought a new PDA all bright and shiny new and proudly brought it home to play. It’s all worked perfectly… more or less… pictures are pretty good, notes, contact lists etc all fine. Just one little eensy weensy niggle. It wouldn’t synchronise its data with any of … More Finally… the PDA is sync'd!
