Rewards for the safe return of 4 year old Madeleine McCann kidnapped in Portugal have now reached an amazing $9 million. Nevertheless there is still no news of her whereabouts. That alone is cause for concern. Surely by now with the vast international publicity we’ve seen, if she was safe and well *someone* would have seen her.
The latest in the lie up of media. business and other celebrities to offer support is JKR Rowling who knows that part of Portugal well. She is said to have offered more than the original $2.5 million dollars in the hope something can be done to encourage the kidnappers to bring the girl back alive.
It’s all very sad but it would seem Madeline is set to become just one more statistic in a world filled with horror stories. 😦
