Life in this house, as I have pointed out on many occasions, is fraught with random chaotic intrusions into what should be an orderly balanced existence. Yesterday was a typical example. The day began well enough, yet swiftly deteriorated into chaos and confusion… as do a lot of my simple, easy to implement plans. I’ll … More The saga continues.
My sisters birthday today and as usual I forgot to send her a card. Still, all of us here hope she has a great day and lots of cuddles from the grandkids! 🙂 I think she’s 21 again… but I’m not saying how many times she’s got there. 😀 Happy Birthday Carol.
Sad as it might be, seems the remaining family of Steve Irwin seem to have fallen out with each other. Bob Irwin Senior has left the Zoo entirely and despite his ongoing reticence to front up to the media regarding his personal life, was the subject of a program called ‘Australian Story’. In the program … More Australia Zoo – Family Feud?
Following on from the death of Clare Oliver last September, we hear today that the message *still* hasn’t got across to all parts of the world that Sunbeds are lethal! In Tredegar (South Wales), a 13 year old boy has been badly burned and blistered by using a ‘stand up’ coin-in-the-slot tanning booth. He was … More Sunbeds kill.
Odd the things you find when surfing quietly. I was looking up Tommy Handley after the old man reminded me of him (tho Handley was dead long before I was old enough to listen to the radio). Over the years a few of the catchphrases from ITMA* got caught in my memory, e.g. “Shall I … More ITMA Trivia

Good work guys… lord knows what I’d do without … More And we're back!!
Sorry this will have to wait a few more days. I’ve been having ongoing issues with the company I registered the domains with and I’m now trying to get them shifted to a new registrar (Jumba). Until that’s done there’s no point me trying to set the site up because I won’t be able to … More Skating blog!
We’re no further forward regards working out what has happened to the ‘comments’ yet, but I put a support ticket in to the webhosts who work marvels quite often in the hope they have something they can suggest (or do) to link the posts back to the database again. Keep watching the skies – we’ll … More Still working on the problem.
Just discovered via the old man that the commenting system isn’t working properly… i.e. you click on ‘comment’ and you get a 404!! Now *that* ain’t right!! Will investigate and get back to you on it.
As you can see the site has undergone yet another change… and will undergo another one just as soon as as suitable ‘theme’ can be located. Basically the last one wasn’t compatible with this new version of WordPress. As often happens the updating of the theme isn’t keeping pace with the software development. This isn’t … More More on the upgrade.
