It’s sad to say this, but it’s time for the Australian Opinion forum to go the way of all obsolete sites. There is so much wrong with it, and so few people there, it’s really become an anachronism. I suppose if it had a distinct purpose, e.g. following a specific game or genre, it might … More Goodbye AO. 😦
I got an offer from the Audible “talking book” people offering a large reduction in first year payments if I sign up again. Can’t say I’m too eager to join because I just don’t seem to have a lot of time to read. I’ve been playing MMORPG’s like World of Warcraft and Rift lately which … More ‘Thinking of Audible… again.
In the midst of all the other local woes, let’s not forget the battle against the Covid virus still being fought around the world with possibly the worst being felt in the USA. With 30,565,742 *known* cases, and deaths standing around 555,843, and an unknown number of each remaining so far undocumented, it’s been a … More And back to Covid USA
Worst floods for 60 years in the Sydney area. Warragamba spillways releasing masses of water into the Nepean. Windsor bridge under water. Penrith in danger of floods. Suburbs under metres of water. And looks like there’s more on the way for the next few days at least. We’re safe enough here because we live in … More … and even wetter!
The worst weather Sydney has seen in ten or more years (since 1964 in some areas) has resulted in a widespread request from the government to stay indoors unless travel is absolutely necessary. I still have loads of ‘antique’ IT gear that I’m slowly working through and discarding (the worst of it anyway). However one or two gems are emerging. For example, I just found what looks like a BlueTooth transmitter dongle in the midst of all the junk I’ve collected. Might be able to use it on … More Digging through the archives
Ok, I admit I’ve not been exactly diligent in writing new posts. Partly because I got it into my head I need to add photos or something to make the page more ‘interesting’. Thing is nobody but myself and a few family will ever read any of it anyway so if it doesn’t really need … More Back to basics.
Used some of this on our 12 year old cat, Millie. She was being treated for heart issues but was in good physical shape, overall. Within seconds of putting the stuff on her shoulder blades, she collapsed and sadly died several hours later. I’d suggest being *very* wary of using this product on any cats … More Revolution Plus for Cats
The daughter needed to go to WSU Hawksbury Campus on Tuesday (16th) to collect a book she needed that had been sent there for her, so off we went. Luckily… sarcasm… it was *pouring* and we were in a bad mood even before we left the house. Still, despite having to walk around three sides … More Day out with Summer
The new folding Bluetooth keyboard arrived yesterday. Had one or two connetion issues… caused by it needing a full battery before it would pair with anything 🙂 Anyway, got it charged and connected it to both the Pixel phone and Samsung tablet. The only other thing that can cause problems is that I have clumpy … More Testing out the new keyboad.
