In the midst of all the other local woes, let’s not forget the battle against the Covid virus still being fought around the world with possibly the worst being felt in the USA. With 30,565,742 *known* cases, and deaths standing around 555,843, and an unknown number of each remaining so far undocumented, it’s been a tough year! The mass vaccination program is well underway, albeit with some idiots still holding out because they still believe it’s a government inspired hoax of some sort and insisting they are having their ‘freedoms’ curtailed. Even so, the daily deaths nationally are painful to read. Each one represents a family impacted by the loss of a loved one, possibly the major breadwinner. It’s hard to understand how such a rich country with a well developed health system could have got its pandemic response so wrong. 😦
