Andrew Olmstead was a soldier ‘killed in action’ in Iraq… the first American to die in 2008. He wrote a ‘final message’ to be posted in the event of his death and it was posted on his blog a couple of days ago.

It’s well worth reading… though it’s enough to bring tears to your eyes at the sheer pointlessness of it all. 
Just for info… Andrew’s name is still on the list (right hand side) of http://icasualties.org/oif/ but it’s getting lower and lower down the list. It isn’t over yet for those left behind.
