Oh, you Clot!

So where have I been for days? Well “coughing my heart up” is the closest descriptor I can come up with. It’s been so hard to keep breathing I’ve not been interested in doing anything other than sitting quietly and hoping for the best. Maybe I should explain. After the surgery, everything was going well. … More Oh, you Clot!

Cough off!!!

No matter what I try I can’t shake this cough. It’s dry, continuous and aggravating. I wish I could lose it but I don’t know where to start. I can’t see a respiratory specialist until March so over Christmas, I’m just going to spend the days hacking away and hope for the best. So bloody … More Cough off!!!

Drip, drip, drip…

Another small drop, again nothing huge, just enough to keep me moving slowly towards the first goalpost. Having said that, I’m concerned this may just be a result of being dehydrated. The temperature has been up in the high 30s so maybe? Not a lot to say other than that. Today was a bit of … More Drip, drip, drip…

So close!

My first target is getting very close. Several years ago my daughter managed to get me to exercise and diet so I reached 135 kilos, so I *really* want to get back down there and use it as the new ‘starting point’ for my weight loss. Ok, it sounds a bit silly since I already … More So close!

Oooh… trendy!

Ok, again not a massive loss … More Oooh… trendy!

Hey what?

I think yesterday’s “weight loss” is spurious, dropping from 137.30 kilos to 137.20 kilos is hardly an earth-shattering loss! I suppose the question to ask is what’s happening… or perhaps *not* happening? Am I eating too much? Eating the wrong foods? Am I not drinking Enough? Drinking too much (unlikely)? I’ve no idea. I think … More Hey what?

Catch up.

Clearly, there have been a few issues over the past week. The main one of course was a sudden and serious inability to breathe properly with accompanying pains in the centre of my chest. Usually, I’ll whinge about pains etc but do nothing about them, but this time it felt serious enough that I take … More Catch up.

Still in hospital.

Now I have a chest infection to go along with the previous pains, which have now been resolved following an Angiogram, found narrowing arteries but none needing a stent… yet. And a CTPA scan that revealed a couple of clots on the lungs…. probably caused by the three falls on my left knee!! Anyway, there … More Still in hospital.
