Things are ‘afoot’. The focus of this blog has changed several times over the years, but what may be the final one will be arriving soon. No longer tied to the results of my gastric sleeve operation, it’s going to focus on a major life change that’s on the way.
For a long time, the wife and I have been considering what Aussies call a “sea change”, i.e. a total change to your way of life. In our case, along with many others our age, it’s to become “grey nomads”. Australia is a huge country and a despite much of it being desert, swamp or mountain, a lot of it is accessible, and we basically want to go and look at it!
The plan, such as it is, is to buy a motorhome and go for it. As luck would have it, my daughter and fiance are considering selling up their property to buy somewhere rural but will need somewhere to live while they work out exactly what and where this is to be organised. The suggestion currently is that they move into our house and stay here until we all gat ourselves properly situated.
So. That’s where we are currently planning, but with clear goals in sight.
I’ve not done much with the blog in over a year since I got close to my target weight so it’s ideal to be adapted to it’s new task… as a record for the preparations, and (hopefully) a record of how we’re travelling… literally.
Eyes on the prize and then away we go.
