The new Australian Ice Skating site is coming along slowly but surely. Basic information is up there… well information about why the site is there at least… and so is the forum!
How many members? Well just *me* currently… but this is a specialist site so the numbers will take a long time to grow and so far I’ve not publicised it at all… except here… now! 🙂
Apart from lacking a dedicated theme. logos and banners (all of which will come in time), there is a mass on information to put up there and limited time for me to do it. What I need is someone who has an interest in the sport in Australia and who is willing to lend some time configuring the place and adding content. Where will I find someone like that? Lord knows. But I expect I’ll keep looking.
In the meantime if you’d like to take a look, click around a bit and see if you can see obvious flaws that I’ve missed I’d appreciate it. When you get too close to something you tend to ignore the little flaws… like not being able to even access the place for example!
I figure it’ll take the best part of six months to get it functioning the way I’d like it to, and maybe longer before I feel comfortable as much useful information is up there as possible, but for a first effort it could be a *lot* worse!! 🙂
