It was 40 years ago today… and inevitable that when the anniversary of its release should come around that renewed interest should be raised about The Beatles eighth and possibly best known album.

It contains a mass of well played and well loved songs ranging from the haunting “She’s leaving Home” to the weird, wonderful and aptly named “For the Benefit of Mr Kyte”. The iconic album cover with it’s montage of famous faces and bizarre outfits is as recognisable now as then… it’s out there on its own!!
Maybe not their best album… but a highly placed contender I think.

One of these guitars should be left handed you know!
