It was ‘confirmed’ today that Kim Beazley will lead the Labor charge to the next federal election. This tells us two things.
Firstly… assuming he *does* lead the party into the firing line…it tells us that Labor will lose again… badly.
Secondly it tells us that *he* feels he is in dire trouble of losing the support of the party… else he’d just shrug it off!!
Candidates edging their way forward on the wings include Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard… of the two Julia is the better bet and most competent, but the ingrained misogyny of the ALP will almost certainly sideline her well deserved promotion to the leadership until they’ve lost at least twice more when she’ll be too old to make a real impression this proving the party grandees ‘right’.
