I just fed the dogs… on fresh chicken legs. They were $2.50 a kilo so I bought a couple of kilos for them. They regulalry get fresh chicken wings when there is a ‘special’ that brings the price down to $1.50… but I thought this might make a nice change for them.
Hard luck on the chickens of course… but ok for us.
I bought 2 kilos so I’m marinating the remainder in some honey mustard sauce that was left over from yesterdays stirfry… and will bake them for us later. Kids will be going skating again this arvo so it’ll be a nice quick meal… 40 mins in a medium oven should do it. Round it off with buttered spuds and broccoli and all will be well.
Gawd… this diet might be working… I must be hungry 😀

I refer the court to a previous blog post where the accused admitted killing off a dog, one “Chewie”, by feeding it chicken wings…..
Chewie had a lot of other problems though… she eventually died of a heart attackin the animal hospital where we took after she collapsed. It may have been conincidence that I’d fed her chicken wings but we’ll never know. She was cremated and sits quietly in a pot up on top of the sideboard while we wait until the right time and place come along to bury her.
