I'm just this guy... y'know? :)
The wife’s finally gone back to work this morning. She has to close off things she’s had on the go with Qantas ready for her move at the end of next week and there’s a possibility she’ll have to ‘hand over’ to a new person as well… if they can find anyone of course. It’s … More Back to the grind.
Well for a start all the photos I uploaded about the crushing humiliation of the English cricketing team… I still have those… here’s one… Actually… here’s another… maybe even better? To be fair this was probably the best cricket series I’ve ever seen and after all… this *was* the overall whitewash we’d hoped for, if … More So what did we lose?
Lucky me… the server crashed and when it popped back up… I’d lost a weeks posts… oh joy. I suppose I should be pleased I only lost a week… I suppose it ought to teach me to make a backup of the site after every damn post… but instead I’m just damn annoyed. Thing is … More Server crash
Edit: This was the original article, but as the associated photos are in another post I’ve not added them back in. Shane Warne, Glenn Mcgrath, Justin Langer and team coach Buchanan all retired today in the most fitting manner for a team of this quality. With a 5 match overwhelming whitewash of the English team … More End of an era.
I get sent some strange links now and then. The oddest one of recent days is of Brazilian model (and ex-girlfriend of Ronaldo the football player) Daniela Cicarelli having sex in the surf with some guy. Not posting the link here tho⦠partly because the couple protested to the government about YouTube which hosted the … More Celebrity is as celebrity does
Grenfell Jones… better known as ‘Gren’… the iconic Welsh cartoonist died on Thursday morning. He was very well known in Wales and loved by all who saw his cartoons describing rugby (especially) and Welsh life in general. He’ll be very much missed by those of us who knew him. Rest in peace Gren.
Not even sure the word ‘approacheth’ exists… as in Spanish it might have been something that arose from a king with a lithp… but anyway, the wife had the graduation details for her MBA yesterday… sometime in June. I thought this was interesting bearing in mind the same letter told her the results for her … More Graduation Day approacheth… maybe?
The 3000th US soldier has died in Iraq marking yet another milestone… or maybe millstone?… in the short period of the US assault on the country. The march to democracy and justice ‘US style’ was given a lurch backwards with the death of Saddam after a mockery of a trial in which the first judge … More And yet another pathetic moment passes
For those of us alive right now… we can only hope and pray where appropriate that we are here *next* year to celebrate the passing of another year. Best wishes to all and sundry… *especially* the sundry who never seem to get an even break.
No doubt Saddam is dead… and buried. The *full* execution video… including ‘the drop’ and his swinging body with face uncovered… is now online… looks like some fool with a cellphone took images in more than enough detail to satisfy the most morbid or disbelieving of people. For those interested… go to netscape.com. Dreadful, but … More Execution videos… gruesome!
