The old man makes his second call on the dentist today. This time it’s ‘just’ for fuillings so we’re hoping he’ll come back full of the joys of spring… so to speak as we’re slowly slipping into autumn. No not mispelled… it’s what I think would be the best name for the suburban transport system near us. Times of the buses are pretty crap to begin with… probably because next to nobody wants to use them… but they took a further nosedive this week with the introduction of the new timetables for ‘Busways’ … More Pubic transport.

Loads going on next Sunday for the 75th Aniiversary of the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. To commemorate the day the bridge is going to be closed for the day to allow the public… i.e. ‘us’ to walk along the actual roadway. So I got up this morning at 4:30 a.m. to wander off to the loo and took my PDA with me to use as a torch… the screen is quite bright 🙂 On the way I noticed the notification that the system had reset the time an hour *forwards* because of daylight savings. Went back … More Daylight Savings… not.

My sister told me she had problems getting into the site this morning. No idea what was wrong as it seems to be functioning ok now. Maybe it was a server glitch. Apparantly the Australian Opinion forum was offline for a while earlier this morning so maybe there is a link there somewhere? Either way… … More Problems?

The old man went to the dentists this morning to have the first set of extractions… along with him went the old lady for her fillings. She came out happy as Larry… and the old man came out looking like he was going to burst into tears. He’d had three extractions and wasn’t too pleased. … More Awww… the horror of it all 🙂
