There was a surprising, and much-welcomed, turn of events here. I’ve recorded an overnight drop from 127.90 kilos to 126.70 kilos. To be honest, losing over a kilo overnight seems way too large a drop, despite my having (again) eating far less than normal. So it may be just a spurious measurement caused by a faulty battery in the scales, but for now… wow!!
Suddenly, over the past few days, I can see my target weight looming. I started writing the blog and recording my path last August when I weighed 152.0 kilos, but my original weight was as high as 162 kilos so however you look at the drop, it’s substantial. It’s either 34.00 kilos, or 44.00 kilos. In one way I prefer to think of it as the higher weight, but it also reminds me how long I’d let myself deteriorate before forcing myself to take stock and realise how bad things, physically were.
Still, I got the message, however belated it was, and am quite proud of my efforts so far. There’s still a *long* way to go. After all, in reality, I’m only just over halfway to my destination. There’s a long way to go yet!
As far as food intake is concerned, yesterday I didn’t eat breakfast, and had a half a wrap made of chicken schnitzel and salad for lunch. Dinner was half a steak with salad and a nice dressing of yoghurt, french dressing and lemon juice. As you can see, I didn’t exactly starve myself but was quite ‘full’ all day.
No idea what today will bring, maybe a kilo rise in weight. who knows. All I can do is try to keep the food intake down and liquid level up, then hope for the best. Yet again, we’ll see.
