Just read a post I made from way back on Sept 26th 2007 called “No cake for me?” the reason I laughed was bemoaning the fact that there was a lot of birthday cake around that looked good enough to eat… but I was on one of my interminable, and ultimately hopeless, diets.
In retrospect maybe I should have eaten the cake because it’s going to be a long time before I can enjoy a large slice of any sort of cake… not even some fruit cake, which is my favourite, especially around Christmas time. Ah well… it’ll be too heavy this year with my stomach as it is. Maybe next year if I’m still around? 🙂
Either way, that old post is a reminder of how long I’ve been trying to get this fat off, and how many times I’ve failed. This time, however, I have a secret weapon… no stomach to overeat with!! Well, we’ll see in the coming months if the old bogeymen can come back tempting me to excess! Even if they do, how will they cope when I have no stomach to cram the food into?!?! Hahahaha!!! 🙂
