To be honest, at the moment there’s really little to write about, other than the day-to-day mechanics of the diet. For example, I think I’ve been eating food that was too solid, in too great a quantity, and certainly too fast! I made a kind of Fish Cake mix a couple of days back with salmon and coriander. It was really tasty, but I think thicker than it should have been and so good I forgot the quantity and the speed at which I ate resulting in me having a painful heartburn… and throwing up. or trying to anyway.
I still have the painful feeling that may or may not be a hernia, but won’t be looked at for a few days yet! I also slipped on some water indoors and landed heavily on my knee. I think 140 kilos landing on one knee wasn’t such a good idea… it still really hurts!
I managed to force myself out of the house at long last. I walked Benji, our old dog around a local reserve yesterday and today. He was really slow, which suited me. I joke that we got lapped by snails, but it’s fine. I couldn’t walk too well on my knee and it’s still early days. In reality, I ought to do a ‘brisk walk’ to improve my cardio, but that will have to wait. I might take our younger dog out later, he’s not been for a decent walk in months and could really do with the exercise, and of course, would pull me along faster!
So, diet. I’m trying to follow the light puree with shaked etc but I keep forgetting the rules. I’ve made a couple of shakes,e e.g. Blueberry, which are nice, but not really ‘filling’ even tho I’m not hungry as such I still need to keep the calorie and protein levels up. It’s harder than it would seem!! Nevertheless I have to try. Maybe a banana or strawberry shake next? We’ll see.
