Weighed this morning and it seems I’ve increased my weight by a kilo to 149.9 kilos… which is ridiculous. Yesterday I decided I’d actually drink the amount I was told to, so worked my way through well over two litres, which you’d think might account for the increase, but why didn’t I lose most of it overnight?
For lunch yesterday I had a small portion of stir-fry which was the remains of the evening meal the day before, and for dinner, a ham salad which was virtually all veg with 110 grams of ham as protein. I only had one meal replacement shake (for breakfast) but had a high-protein drink (the name of which I can’t remember.) that the daughter bought. None of this should have created a permanent increase so we’ll have to wait and see. Nevertheless, the fact remains I’ve lost *no* weight at all for well over a month!!
Other than that, things are what they’ve been for ages. It’s frustrating to be trying so hard and getting nowhere. The daughter tells me it’s my body’s response to a starvation diet, but this can’t be true. Even a starvation diet should result in a real constant decrease in weight. What is happening with me is the maintenance of my weight, which to me is really strange! I’m eating *well* under the daily calorie intake for ‘maintenance’ at my current weight so I just can’t understand why it’s not moving. I’m going to ask on the support group for suggestions. I have under two weeks to make an impact and it’s annoying me. π¦
In the end, I wrote to the dietician at Circle of Care for advice. One issue of course is that despite drinking 900ml of cordial a few minutes ago *and* having had 2 Cruskits with ham and mustard for lunch, I’m *still* ravenously hungry!! This just shouldn’t be happening!! I’m going to have a shake as well just to try to stave off the hunger. I hope it works! π¦
