My weight seems to still be decreasing, albeit *very* slowly. It’s taken me three weeks to lose two kilos, and tho I’m down to 149.6 kilos it still feels like nothing has moved. My daughter says she can see a difference between the shape I was, and the shape I am, but, to be honest, I can’t.
This is one of the Best things about writing up my daily experience and my weight as of that day. It means I can repeatedly return to earlier posts and see just how far I’ve come so far. To put that comment into context. I was over 160 kilos when I started using the blog for recording my weight loss since I started back on July 15th. Overall then, over the past 8 weeks, I’ve lost (roughly) 10 kilos, which despite the plateau and minimal loss over the past few weeks, is still over a kilo a week! Not so bad really. 🙂
Oddly, I’m also slowly becoming accustomed to the greatly reduced food intake. Today, for example, I had my morning shake at 10:30, and a small salad for lunch a couple of hours later. So far, other than the ongoing headache, I’m not feeling any ill effects. I *should* have had a second shake by now but I’m keeping it until I feel I need an afternoon ‘snack’, if needed, or else I’ll have a shake with (or for!), dinner. I ate my protein allowance with the salad so if I eat tonight it would just be steamed or stir-fried veggies.
If I feel okay after dinner, I may do the same with the evening shake as I did with the morning, i.e. keep it until ‘later’ so that it would be a late-night snack, or supper instead of weighing me down early or leaving me hungry later on and liable to eat something quick and easy such as a small cake or two.
Whatever happens, the scales show I’m still plodding along, although it’s really feeling more like a marathon than a quick sprint.
