I had a thought about teleporter technology. To work ‘safely’, you’d have to be reduced to a digital format in order for the ‘bits’ to be teleported. This means they need a copy of you inside the teleporter before they can ‘send’ you so that if it goes wrong they can recreate you. Obviously, if they can do it once, they can do it a thousand times. Handy for the military to produce soldiers. This could also be handy for sending someone on ‘secret’ missions of some sort, and if they fail, be recreated each time. Since each new version has none of the knowledge or experiences of the previous incarnation, they’d essentially be starting ‘fresh’. Imagine the uses that could be put to?? Most of the uses would no doubt be nefarious of course. After all, you could get them to do almost anything, then kill them off and start again with a new model!! Any issues with this… other than the possibility of a teleporter being created being almost impossible with our current knowledge of physics. Might make a good short story tho?. š
