Hard day today… called lots of people, did lots of stuff and *still* didn’t get it all done.
We’ve finally got a replacement ‘grey water’ tap and plumbers tape so tomorrow we may well find that after threee years we can finally turn the tap on and off without using a spanner!
Also bought MS-Office 2007… despite it not being compatible with older versions (it saves files as .xml rather than .doc) and that also has to be installed tomorrow.
Took the car to get a quote for the repair… of the accident that happened on April 15th… oops. Not sure what’s going to happen as we need a large car to be able to move us all about without causing chaos.
Lastly, sorted out the small appliance mechanic who was supposed to come fix the washer today and didn’t. The jinx worked and he forgot… or he was drunk… or both… his wife forgot to add it into his call list… he used all of them. I wonder if he’ll arrive tomorrow? 🙂
