What is? The HDD on my old desktop is what. Seems it’s developed ‘bad sectors’… or to put it in less technical language… it’s buggered.
I tild the tech to put a new drive in set to ‘Master’ and I’ll reinstall the OS. With some luck I might be able to access chunks of the disk and extract the data I want to keep… not that there’s a lot on there now. Either way the old machine now has a new 320Gb HDD so I *have* to do something to justify spending another $130 on it 😀
Actually… it *might* come in handy after all. Once I remove all the data I want I can pass it on to the youngest one for her to use until we get her a new one for her birthday! She’ll be well pleased I reckon. Hey that sounds like a good idea to me! Well done that man.
And with that I exit stage left to make more soup.
