Well done Vale of Glamorgan… seems you’re number four on the list of ‘best places to bring up children’. The order published on the BBC site was:

1. East Dunbartonshire
2. East Renfrewshire
3. Forest of Dean, Glos
4. Vale of Glamorgan
5. Hambleton, North Yorkshire
6. Fareham, Hampshire
7. West Lothian
8. South Gloucestershire
9. Ribble Valley, Lancashire
10. Uttlesford, Essex

I can understand why the Forest of Dean ranked highly… but Dunbartonshire? Renfrewshire? Eh?? Neither of them are warm or pleasant! Unfortunately the poll was run by the Readers Digest so I’m not sure what sort of real relevance it has… but still… šŸ™‚
