Jinks… yet more jinx?

So off I went to pay for the computer. On the way I stopped by the Credit Union, partly to draw out the cash and partly to check what the daily drawing limit was on the card in case I wanted to take out ‘extra’ cash.

As it turned out there was a sufficiently high limit so it didn’t need altering. I told the cashier I’d nip out to the ATM to withdraw the money but she said not to bother and she’d do it over the counter. All I needed to do was swipe my card and tap in the PIN. In went the PIN… the drawer began to open… then stuck. The branch immediately closed down as the time-delay locks clicked in and there I was, halfway through a transaction… stuck.

The cashier apologised profusely because instead of saving me time she’d actually delayed me still further… but I’m used to these technological failures so I just sat and waited.

Eventually ‘head office’ reset the locks, the drawer opened, I got the money and went on my way.

Sounding familiar? πŸ˜€

Later that day at the Ice Rink I tried to order a hot chocolate to renew my spirits and waited in line. As I got to the counter, the pen the guy was using to write orders suddenly ran out of ink and the next five he picked up refused to work either!

Coincidence?? I think not!!

Just for good measure, this is the second time I’ve related this tale. The first time, for no apprarant reason, the network connection went down. It never ends πŸ˜€

This time I copied it before publishing it!
