Anyone going to the NSW Easter Show this year? I just priced the tickets… $154 for six of us… plus at least $100 for rides for the kids… and maybe another $100 for showbags… plus parking… plus food and drink all day. I reckon we’ll be lucky to get away with paying under $500… if we actually go that is.
It’s not a cheap day out any more is it? 😦
On the other hand it *is* a great day. Apart from the huge carnival rides for the kids, there are thousands of animals to look at, lots of speciality food to sample (at a cost) great spectacle events to watch… e.g. rodeo, wood-chopping, stunt motorcycles, fashion shows, live music, etc. They have everything going on up to and including flying pigs and a ‘lady’ being fired out of a cannon!!:)
Something for everyone… but at a cost!
In past years we’ve said repeatedly we ought to go twice… once for the kids to have fun… once for us to be able to see the animals etc that they aren’t so interested in. To be honest trying to do it all in one is *very* hard work and by the evening we’re usually shattered… and broke. Hmm… seems to be a theme developing here!! 🙂
