Every so often I look at the sites I’m running… or supposed to be running… and realise how much work they need to bring them up to scratch. TalkTidy for example is a real mess with a site map invisible to Firefox users and so totally crippled as far as presenting John Edwards work.
The slang Dictionary has hundreds of words on file ready to be entered but I can;t get myself to sit down and enter them.
The forum needs work as well changing the theme for a start and adding in the advertising banner to try to help it pay its way.
And this one needs a complete make-over, an upgrade of the software and the inclusion of several really useful add-in components, not to mention some ‘advertising’ to raise its profile.
I just don’t seem to have ‘time’ any more. Even tho the kids are back in school and I should have oodles of capacity… the days seem to be filled with ‘stuff’ and I don;t get the whole days I used to have.
Besides which I suppose I spend too much time ‘reading’ the news etc instead of doing the work – no change there really. 😀
Maybe for example, I’d be better off if I pulled the plug on participating in the forum and just let it run for a while to give me time to concentrate on the other important tasks. Will have to mull that one over. Right now the guys are muttering about adding rules to the site so I’ll have to stay there for a week or more until they get that out of the way but then… well… we’ll see.
