Our local state MP Stephen Pringle had a road sign encouraging people to vote for him. Until the far right section of the local Liberal Party ‘deselected’ him he was a loyal member but let fly at their underhanded tactics before resigning his seat. He is now standing in the coming election as an Independent.
We’ve met Stephen a couple of times about odd things affecting our lives and he’s always seemed a nice enough guy… if somewhat lacking in charisma. Personally I’ll vote for him on the straightforward basis that our local Labor candidate has not got a hope in hell of getting in and Stephen is now politically on the far left of where his ex-party stands so votes in the Laboir block where he feels it appropriate. Effectively, a vote for Stephen is a vote against the Liberals.
Anyway… sadly for Stephen, it appears his digital sign has been hacked by ‘someone’ and for some time it read:
“Steven Pringle can suck my dingle … ha, ha, ha.”
A bit childish maybe and very silly but it was seen by thousands of potential voters before being removed. Won;t make me change my vote… I’m voting politically… if you see what I mean 😀
