Gotta love Australian politics… it’s so colourful.
For example up in Queensland, the National member of parliament, Rob Messenger, compare the state premier, Peter Beattie, to a prostitute. During a debate his comment in full was that the premier in a dinner suit was like:
“watching a prostitute dressed in a ballgown talking about celibacy”.
Of course insults like this are not considered to be ‘proper’ behaviour and so Messenger was forced to make an apology. And so he did… to the prositutes 😀
Reports tell us the Government costs Queensland around $6000 an hour to run. That’s a lot of money for their pollies to be spending their time insulting each other instead of running the state properly.
