Seems young David (80) feels networks are a bit nervy about having someone his age commiting to making documentaries over a three year period… so he will retire after his latest series “Life in Cold Blood”.
He’s been around narrating documentaries on nature and the environment for what feels like my entire life and though I’ve not seen much of him lately I still associate his voice with calm ‘academic’ instruction on the world around me… in contrast to Steve Irwins more… err… exuberant 🙂 presentation.
His calm authoratitive presence will be missed
