Hurley gets his day in court

After months of suspicion of involvement in the death of Palm Island resident Mulrunji Doomadgee. He has already been named as being the ’cause’ of his death, but rather than live a lifetime under a cloud he is to have his day in court in order to prove his innocence.

At the same time the police in Queensland are threatening to pull out of policing aboriginal communities. Seems a strange way to allow a police force to behave. Surely the police want justice to be seen to be done as much as the rest of us? Why else would they *be* policemen in the first place?
