Not sure when the 12 days of Xmas ended… if they have… but I’m finally getting the last of the outside decorations down and boxed ready to be dragged out again in a few months to be reused… well those that still work then will be used – maybe.
Right now of course I’m not 100% sure we *will* be having the lights again. The episode before Xmas when some loon/loons decided the message of Christmas was to steal and wreck other peoples pleasure rather soured me on it all.
Having said that, the kids love them and spend half their evenings over their holidays comparing how *ours* look with those put up by other people… if sheer gaudy overkill is the criteria then we probably do match some of those in the worst category… but like I said… the kids love it.
If we *do* have them next year I’ll be starting to assemble them a lot earlier. Leaving it to the last minute… at the wife’s insistence… means there is no time to plan as such. Ok I should be able to draw something to give me an idea of what I want it to look like… but this depends heavily on being able to recall exactly what lights we have that still work, and more importantly where the transformers are!!
So I figure… get them all out, test them, get them up… and then see how it looks. If we do it at all that is 😀
