Japan – still the home of culture.

Ever anxious to bow to ‘western sensibilities’, Japan decided Christmas Day was the appropriate time to execute four ‘criminals’. They haven’t mentioned who they were, or what they did… just the ‘matter of fact’ of their deaths.

There were of course countless other deaths from any number of causes from war through famine to disease. but these deaths on what is, in the west at least, supposed to be *the* day of peace and goodwill to all men throws into sharp relief how far the world has yet to travel in the quest to create one mans dream of seeing us all live for the benefit of each other.

Of course this notion resulted in him being nailed to a tree for his troubles… but that’s another story.
