Following on from the complete humiliation of the English cricket team in the last three Ashes tests, two of our most famous players seem ready to announce they’re pulling up stumps.

Both Shane Warne (37) and Glenn McGrath (36) are expected to announce their decision to retire from International cricket by the end of the fifth test.
This is a bit of a blow for Australian cricket… especially the loss of Warne… who has been with the team for 15 of the last 16 glorious years of the Australian teams world dominance of the game.
Both men have served their country well on the field… though of course Warnes off-field antics have appalled many, not least his estranged wife Simone. Still… nobody can deny the man his due and his 699 wickets mark him as the greatest bowler in cricket history. McGrath too has done his part and is ranked third in the list of test wicket taking. Not a bad record.
No idea as yet what McGrath intends doing with his life after the game, but Warne is set to join Channel Nine’s cricket commentary team. Whether he will continue with his stint in Hampshire (where he has been Captain since 2000) is as yet an unresolved issue.
Either way… well done guys… you did good!
