At long last there is a growing resentment amongst the general public about the way David Hicks has been treated and a realisation that if *he* can be abandoned by his government then so could perhaps *they* be if in trouble abroad!
Having been left in hell for five years by the Howard government there are now legal moves afoot designed partly to attempt to force the government to act, and partly to make it clear how much disgust there is at grass roots level for the lack of care and support he’s been shown.
Guilty or innocent he must be brought home.
