Pope Bennie is mulling over the possibility that the rules on condom use might be relaxed thus saving untold millions from heartache and despair. Well almost.
Still unable to show any comprehension whatever of human nature, Bennie is still insisting on celbacy as the natural form of contraception but is showing signs that marriages in which one partner is infected with the aids virus might perhaps be allowed to try to prevent infecting the other.
I’ve never understood the insanity of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and probably never will and I doubt in turn they will ever be drawn fullly into any understanding of modern socirty. However, I think bearing in mind this is a religion founded on compassion and love for one another, their blinkered view of human nature is unforgiveable.
Like all animals, humans are born to mate and reproduce… it is the primary function of their existence… that much the church understands. Yet the ‘social’ function of sex seems to have passed entirely over the heads of the church fathers.
Again there is no point rambling on… I doubt any serious advances in their thinking will be made until there is a female pope … and we all know how unlikely *that* will be.
