Since I lost an almost brand new O2 XDAiis PDA a few months ago I’ve been ‘lost’. I can’t find telephone numbers, can’t remember lists, can’t write notes or take photos ‘on the move’ etc and it’s been really aggravating.
The light at the end of the tunnel has always been the possibility that I might be able to claim from the insurance company for the loss as I think it was stolen from the front seat of the car when I left it there overnight… and reported same to police.
The wife, possibly spurred by her imminent move from her current place of work… finally got the insurance forms in and rang yesterday to check on progress. Their response was the claim is likely to be denied because I left the damn thing ‘in sight’… i.e. on the passenger seat of the car. If I’d realised this would be a problem I might’ve been able to ‘adjust’ the story… but too late now.
With that avenue apparantly closed… the only alternative will be the inhouse insurance the car carries. She’ll see if we can claim from that on Monday… and all I can do is keep the fingers crossed. I doubt I can justify paying another $1500 having already had four of the damn things in total. Will post an update as and when things get clearer.
