So Donald Rumsfeld, aka Dr Death has finally gone. He is no longer ‘Secertary of Defence’ now Shrublet has finally let him go.
In a way it’s almost funny. One of the prime objectives was to remove Saddam Hussein the so called “Butcher of Baghdad”… which they’ve done. Saddam is now to die.
But think of this… while in power Saddam was estimated to have killed around 300,000 people. So far the US invasion has cost the lives of 750,000 with hundreds dying every week… and yet there is still no end in sight.
It seems the Shi’ites of Iraq are forging close links with those of Iran so the USA is in the proicess of creating what it most feared… a non-secular Arab superpower based on a militant religion which will soon once again turn its eyes towards Israel.
So Donald Rumsfeld has gone… but what a legacy he leaves… I wonder which is really the butcher?
