Today's the day.

We’ll be off soon for the eldest of the little ones to take her first flute exam. She’ll fly through it of course… but she’s still nervous. πŸ™‚

The youngest has ‘Charlie’ for the weekend. Charlie is a stuffed toy dog that the kids are given in turn. They take him with them wherever they go and then write up his adventures πŸ™‚ Cute in its way but it means we have to do something worth doing to match the other kids… rivalry is rife amongst the 7 year olds.

Not a lot going on other than that… other han the surgery calling to say Kwok wants me to have more blood tests. The other ones have arrived… did I mention I had to lose an armful last wednesday?? I think not.

Ok…last Wednesday I went into the hospital to have my blood tested. Waited an hour for the nurse to be unable to find a vein in my right arm despite using it as a pin cushion for a few minutes. She eventually decided to use back of the left hand and extracted several vials full.

Those results have arrived at the doctors and he now wants me to go and have a glucose intolerance test… maybe thinks Im T2 Diabetic already… we’ll find out when I get there next Saturday. I hate those tests. you have to be on a special diet fror three days.. fast for 12 hours… then go in, give some blood… drink a thick slimy foul mixture that looks, feels and smells like mouldy honey… then wait three hours and give more blood.

Wow… I can hardly wait… there are times I almost envy Charlie.
