Reading in the papers of how bad things were in their marriage… it’s all coming out in their divorce proceedings.
Personally I think it’s all totally unnecessary. Once this couple have decided they no longer want to live together then they should be able to part without fault. Obviously there are financial matters to work through… but does it need to be done so publicly?
All this tackyiness should have vanished in the 1950’s… it’s so… pointless and adversarial… but most of all… it’s just so damn sad..
