North Korean Infanticide.

Hot on the heels of the sanctions imposed on North Korea for daring to do what larger nations have done and create a nuclearweapon, comes old news about the treatment of the general population.

In Australia at least we’re being regaled with horrendous stories of infanticide, forced abortion and the like. According to the news report women who have become pregnant to Chinese males are having their babies killed at birth… or are forced to watch and listen to them dying slowly over a period of days. In addition any and all disabled children are immediately destroyed.

Unfortunately as horrible as the stories are all they are doing to me is raising ‘walls’. I recall the propaganda about Kuwait after the Iraq invasion when we heard about babies being removed from incubators and left to die etc… all of which were later proved to be false.

I have absolutely *no* idea whether these stories are true or false and have no way of ascertaining the truth either way. If true… it’s appalling. If false… well that’s appalling too!

Maybe if the stories about North Korea had been disseminated earlier I might have taken them on board more easily but right now all I can see is an attempt to demonise them still further so that when the USA decides it’s time to invade they won’t find us so willing to protest.

Cynical?? Moi?? Damn straight!!
