One possible excuse for the continued illegal incarcertion of David Hicks by the USA is that he is “an enemy combatant” and if released would return to the battlefield. This is a reasonable excuse I must admit… but *if* that is their excuse then why isn’t he being held as a Prisoner of War under the rules set by the Geneva Convention?
Why is he still languishing in Guantanamo Bay deteriorating mentally and physically when most other countries have got their people out of there? Why is our government letting this happen instead of fighting his corner? Why… why… why… so many questions ans so few answers. It’s a national disgrace.
