Black groups are up in arms because Angelina Jolie has been chosen to play the part of Daniel Pearls wife, Mariane. Their complaint is that Marianne is ‘mixed race’ and Angelina is white.
Well lets see now. For starters Mariane is not complaining at all and is quite pleased Angelina is playing her. Secondly… she is of *mixed* race… i.e. *not* black as such… so whinging that this is another role taken from a black actress and handed to a white woman isn’t true by any means.
Personally I reckon it’s just a beat up by people trying to make milage out of nothing much.
Talkling of Angelina… she got a right serve off Donald Trump today. He’s really ripped into her about her lack of contact with her father, her morals, and her perceived lack of attractiveness. Ok she isn’t my cup of tea, but so what?
