Beginning to wonder if Bindi Irwin is being given too much expoisure by her family. Yesterday she went to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2006 to present the top award. The gig was planned by her father as a treat for her to “meet the stars” and the family decided she should go despite Steve’s death.
Well ok she was a huge hit but I’m beginning to feel uneasy about the exposure she’s been getting in the past few weeks. She’s only just lost her father and the publicity machine is turning his death into almost a fun event!!
Regardless of her precocious personality, there is no chance she’s worked thru the grieving process yet. I hope she isn’t going to look back on this episode with guilt for the increased exposure.
Lots of us are really rooting for this kid and hoping she takes over Steve’s work – I just hope she doesn’t have her head turned by all this support and be ‘ruined’.
