Strange thing medicine. All the medical advances of the past 100,000+ years really don’t mean much. In a very real sense, all we’ve learned to do is delay the inevitable… to just stall the grim reaper for a little while.
One other thing we’ve learned though is to improve the quality of what life we have… or have left. I suppose if we can delay or remove the onset of horrendous pain, or mitigate the worst nature can throw at us… we’ve done well.
Now then folks… about immortality… I’m one of those who says “We have to die that others may live… ” but of course if push came to shove and the offfer waw smade… I think I’d take the uncertainty of life against the certainty of death. But that’s just me.
