Weird Dream – interpreter wanted

There was I the other night gently festering and suppurating in ma kip… a phrase I learned from an old Scottish girlfriend… not that she was old at the time, quite young actually… though rather too much of a moustache for me now. Of course I didn’t bother with that back then… in fact I didn;t even realise she *had* fuzz on her top lip until I found a photo of her awhile back. At the time I couldn’t look her in the face… I sort of stopped arounf chest level… oh she was a healthy lass that one. Gawd she must be nearly 60 now soI suppose she really *is* an old Scottish girlfriend!!! What a turn off 😦

Anyway… I was in bed sleeping and dreaming… and an odd sort of dream it was too.

I was sitting, with others I think, in a carriage on the bottom of a roller coaster. The ride started and, as it progressed along the flat towards the first ‘hill’, the carriage became smaller and smaller, the other people disappeared, and I was left sitting on a smallish seat.

As I sat watching, the car tilted upwards and I could suddenly see how high it was… and it seemed to go on forever. Up and up I went as the seat got smaller and smaller. Now I have *no* head for heights and I was becoming *very* scared. I couldn’t look over the side in case I toppled so I concentrated on tightening my knees against what now felt like a smooth plate to keep myself upright. Also by this time, the two grubby iron rails and wooden boards had vanished to be replaced by a single shining silver central rail.
Slowly but surely the top of the hill approached and as surely as it was coming was the total conviction that when I went down the other side I would fall off and die… yet even while I knew I would die… I remember this grim determination that I *wouldn’t* fall. Weird but dreams are like that I suppose.

Anyway… the odd thing was that as I got to the top of the rise… instead of the huge fall of some thousands of feet (the ground had vanished at this point) the car/seat dropped a few feet and continued to the right and then the left zig-zagging off into the distance with a small staion of some kind just after the first tow bends.

What woke me was a sudden question in my mind asking “I wonder how this is built? What keeps it so far up in the air?”.

I wonder what it meant?
