In the light of the excessive remuneration received by Sol Trujillo we have to question the amounts recently awarded to the CEO of Qantas. Ok they *are* holding their own internationally and are one of the few airlines to be making a profit, howeve they are also in the process of moving 300+ IT jobs offshore in order to reduce costs etc… usual excuses.
Mr Dixon is entitled to fair return for effort I suppose, but surely when 300 plus Australian jobs are being moved offshore, now isn’t the time for him to be have AU$7 million paid into his super fund on top of an aleady generous package? Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if he even paid the tax owed on that amount but the tax bill is also being picked up by Qantas!
I bet he must be feeling really cheesed off about how badly off he is. Maybe *his* position ought to be moved offshore… and him along with it?
