Karen Brown aged 42 was working as a security guard when she was set upon by a thug intent on robbing her. He beat her to the ground with fists protected by knuckle dusters then attempted to drag her behind a car.
Fearing for her life, Karen drew her pistol and shot him dead.
She was charged with murder and has waited 2 years for her day in court where she has at last been found innocent.
Nobody wants gung-ho, gun happy individuals blasting anyone who gets in their way, but this woman had injuries sufficient to prove her story yet she was charged and made to face trial.
Why? Are we supposed to just submit to the attacks of thugs with no recourse? I feel sorry for the family of the guy she killed but in all seriousness he only had himself to blame.
